Some Baby Stuff

I’ve been bad about posting baby stuff, so here’s some baby stuff.

Exhibit A: Getting Dressed

March 9: Talia found a new use for laundry: wearing it. Only 1-3 more years, and she might be successful.

NOTE: This video is the longest on the page (~3 minutes). There’s some impressive baby logic near the end, if you like that kind of thing.

Exhibit B: Reading

March 22: Talia loves board books. Currently, she won’t sit still long enough for us to read a complete story to her except at bedtime, but she will read a story to US. I like how her latest baby language sounds like “blah blah blah”.

Exhibit C: Calling Daddy

Also March 22: Every weekend day, Jonathan and I take separate morning shifts with the baby so that we can each get an extra hour or two of sleep. Rather than dragging the baby upstairs to get the sleeping person, we usually call each other. Talia likes to participate:

Exhibit D: Mommy Needs a Thumbnail

March 3: Mommy took some pictures.

Balancing

Talia likes to stand up on her push-car.

Winter smiles

Talia likes to smile.

About Sarah

10 years ago, I was a computer science student. 5 years ago, I taught kindergarten. 2 years ago, I trained teachers. Now, I'm a technical writer. I have thoughts about most of these things, but most likely I'll just write about neuroses and why I love Mr. Gatti's pizza. Which might be a neurosis.

Yay baby stuff!! Amity watched these with great interest and she laughed when Talia was playing peek-a-boo with the shirt. She also said “baby.” That behind-the-head move is what she does when she tries to put on her own bib. So funny! Talia is so cute!!

Haha, that’s good that Amity recognizes Talia as a baby. I don’t know if Talia likes other babies very much (even though she coexists with them at daycare). We were at Toys R Us yesterday looking at baby dolls (among other things), and I held one out to Talia to see if she might want to get it. She stared at it, made her “I’m trying not to smile” face, and then shoved it away. I showed it to her a couple more times, and each time, she pushed it away. I guess I’ll have to be more selective about baby dolls than I might have expected…

So cute! Made my day! I completely lost it on the first video :) I can imagine Jeff really enjoying these moments someday, and I will definitely ‘tag’ you when I have videos and such
